YOUNG LADIES REFLECTING FOR CHANGE

Young Ladies Reflecting for Change Working Group is the 13th working Group from Pioneer comprising young women aged 15-25.
The group began in early 2010 after Pioneer youth realized that young ladies needed privacy to discuss their own issues and their own agendas.
The group’s young ladies identify other girls in the community and, with support from GROOTS Kenya, they organized a training in reproductive health. Following that, they became trainers of trainers (T.O.T.).
Their mission is to empower young ladies to halt unwanted pregnancies and early marriages until their
time comes and they are ready. They do this through psychosocial support, behaviour change, awareness and communication, peer learning exchanges and leadership skills training.
